MVP Shootout Tournament
The MVP program is meant to reward the highest finishing players in each skill level group in each session. The Top Gun tournament is a one day event using a modified race format where players compete within their skill level group for cash and more importantly, the title of being the best of the best at that skill level
To qualify for this fantastic free event, simply finish at or near the top in your skill level group (ie. 2/3 - 4/5 - 6/7) in any 8-ball or 9-ball division in any one of the three sessions.
In 2019 the MVP Tournament prize fund will be $9,000 with a minimum of $1,000 paid out to each skill level group. $6,000 paid out in 8-Ball and $3,000 paid out in 9-Ball
The number of qualifiers per division is outlined in the Local By-Laws.
All qualified players must remain on an active roster and play at least once a session in order to retain MVP eligibility. This includes the summer session, If you play in a division which does not play in the summer, you must get yourself on another roster. The Guelph CPA takes no responsibilty for players who lose eligibility because they are not on a team.
All players will play at the higher of their handicap at which they qualify or the handicap at which they are when the numbers are finalized and boards are drawn.
